The name Writing-PAD stands for 'Writing Purposefully in Art and Design'
- It is a research project initiated in 2002 with a £275k HEFCE grant
- It supports different approaches to writing by practitioners
- It has a membership comprising 41 Universities
- It is coordinated by Julia Lockheart at Goldsmiths, University of London
