UAV day – proposal from Attainable Utopias

AU proposes to run a workshop day in a modified “open space” format.
It would be a quick romp through all the steps from vision to action.
Its aim would be to coalesce groups of common interest
These would include those want to take the project forward and make it happen
It would record the conclusions of the proceedings as a tool for taking the project forward.
AU would supply facilitators and scribes to make the day run smoothly and to record it.
AU would produce a record “Book of the day” - collated in rough on the day - edited within a following day and posted on the UAV website within 48 hours of the event happening.

The” Book of the day” would have the following “chapters”

1) Dreaming the dream - what will UAV look and feel like?
2) Demand specifics - design the dream?
3) Mapping the route - what we need to achieve the dream - what do we have now and what do we need?
4) Branding - making the dream visible to others
5) Next steps
6) Contacts for network

12.30 - 13.00 - this would be a quick presentation of some inspirational models by invited speakers
13.00 - 14.00 – First sessions
Sessions happen in parallel
After the first 10 minutes participants are free to move between groups as they feel - "rule of two feet" open space style
