Jeong (noun)
This word derives from Chinese, but has slightly different versions in Korean and Japanese. It is hard to translate fully into English. It describes a feeling - although not a passion. It is a respectful and enduring bond or affinity between objects, animals, or people.
(as defined by the students of MA Design Futures, January 2006)
