The second ds21 event was held on November 17th and 18th 2005, at the ICA in London. It was a conference in which ds21 members proposes and evaluated Tools for Design Synergy. The second day was free to members of the ds21 team / AU network, and £75 to other guests. Read more about the event here |
ds21 BedZed - Design Synergy for the 21st Century Research Project

The first in our ds21 events took place at BedZed. The theme of this research project is to explore the question ‘how can designers learn to introduce more organic synergy into their professional practice?’ ds21 is a one year AHRB and EPSRC funded research project running from January 2005 to December 2005. The project brings together 14 key researchers and experts from 7 countries. It is managed at Goldsmiths College, University of London from within the Department of Design. |
The sixth AU event was an open space workshop entitled 'What is A Creative Place? – Creekside 2050'. It was held at the Laban Centre, Deptford, London, in June 2004. With over 70 participating members of the AU network plus members of the local community, dreams were put forward for future developments of the area to Andrew Carmichael of the Creative Lewisham Agency. In June 2004 we ran a small workshop at the London Bridge HQ of MacDonald Egan and Partners HQ on the 19th June. This brainstorming session addressed one practical question: how can we Build a Transformative Network?
